Internship

Today, I was shocked by the news that we, the International Relations students, will have our internship program on January, yes January, which means we only have about 6 months left to live as the real college student. Actually, there is rumor saying that the program will start on March or April, but then it's going to be January!!

I already feel scared just by imagining the life of the intern. I'm not ready yet, and I think I will never be... I am afraid of meeting new people, new environment, and new society. I wonder if I could be able to adapt and make friends. I wonder if there is a phobia of such thing. If there is, I am a hundred percent infected by it.

Right now, I already browse about the internship program and I focus on the Korean companies in Jakarta. I write down the list to make it easier to go any further into details later on. The reason I choose Korean companies is I want to make use of my ability in speaking Korean since I will be attending a summer school program next month. I am proud to myself since I can speak several languages; Bahasa, English, Mandarin and later-on-Korean. I believe this will be my plus factor in my CV, I hope.

Starting a new higher education (a year ago)

Every fall, confident high school seniors transform into nervous college freshmen. They leave their parents home for the hallowed halls of higher education. And like any new venture, starting college holds the promise of limitless opportunity to conquer the new territory. Or to try an be a little less lonely. But just because the opportunity presents itself doesn't mean everybody is ready to take it. XOXO Gossip Girl

aging

in a couple of days i'll turn nineteen, aaaaaah so old.. i hope there is time machine so that i can turn back time when i was kindergartener. not knowing anything is good you know, like nowadays.. i feel like i have so much burden on my shoulders. yup! this is the life of young-adult people, so problematic.

this 24th of May i'll be celebrating my nineteenth birthday out of home. what will it be like? of course there will be something missing huhuhuhuhuhu

this morning i had been dreaming that i got birthday gift from someone (in this case, my namja chingu. although at the very moment i don't have one). it turned out that the gift he gave me is a camera, professional camera. I was so surprised of course but i can't remember the face of my namja chingu hahahah. then, i woke up, seeing that there is a notification on my phone. mom texted me asking what birthday gift do i want, the i replied "anything will be alright". but, i was murmuring when i typed the pad "I hope the birthday gift is letting me go to Korea this year" :))

happy birthday!

a little chit-chat here

it's been awhile since my last post long ago although the internet service is always available. i don't know why but nowadays i don't feel like to socialize through the social networking. i seldom to to check my neither facebook nor twitter and of course not to mention blogging. then what do i do now?? whenever i click my safari, the first address i come up with is dramacrazy.net or hancinema.net or myasiancinema.com ... as you have already known before that i addicted in watching korean dramas and movies.. so all of this time, i am watching korean drama..

the currently airing dramas that I like the most are Lie To Me, Baby-faced Beauty, 49 Days, and Can You Hear My Heart
not only dramas, my environment here make me to watch some variety show.. Like Idol Army, U-Kiss Vampire, Star King, Running Man, We Get Married and many many others. I was wondering how come the Korean Wave can so successful in influencing teenagers and young adults.

Still, regarding to the word of Korea matter, i think i haven't told you yet that i was applying to the Kyung Hee Fellowship of Korean Studies 2011. it is an opportunity to study Korean (language) in Kyung Hee University, Seoul. And the most important thing is that it provides scholarship. Having that kind of information, my desire to go to Korea attack! haha so, to make the story short, i applied the registration with the hope that i can be able to get the scholarship so that i can fly to Korea!!! DAE~HAN~MIN~GUK!!!

aah! all of the korea matters forget me of telling you that right at the moment, i am in my third semester of my college studies!! yippiy! As you noticed that I take International Relations as my major and I choose Strategic and Defense Studies as my concentration. The subjects is killing me. there are a LOAD of assignments, papers, essays and presentation. I hope I can be on the "safe" zone this semester. Pray for me!!

new year, new life, new story

I know that this is my first writing in 2011. Therefore, first I'd like to welcome the year of rabbit!!
happy new RABBIT year and welcome 2011
. It's been a while since my last post .. you know why .. I will always blame those ASSignments for making me totally tired. And then, I have a LOT of things I need to tell you, lovely readers (but I don't think there is a single person who'd like to read my blog since I know no one here, except my bestgirls).

FIRST, I have been working at Kompas Gramedia as a sales and marketing assistant. How cool is that?? hehehe. But it's not exactly what you think. I don't go to the office and do something that it should be. So what am I working? Well, it's so simple, I just have to make customers to subscribe newspapers and magazine monthly as many as I could. And that's it, nothing else. The fee? It's really appropriate :)) aaah you should be wondering why did I come up with the idea of working.. It's because originally we (Shabrina and I) want to have a trip to South Korea at the end of the year.. But later on, we found out that there is something "wrong" with the visa.. So I don't think I can make it this year, huhuhuhu.

SECOND, right now is my second semester here in PresUniv, it means that there are 8 semesters left to graduate. And my classmates are still the same with the previous one, and I take Defense Studies as my concentration while the majority of our class takes Diplomacy. I hope we do still see each other in other class till the end of our study here because You all are WONDERFUL! (like our beloved lecturer, Mr. Makmur, said to us)

THIRD, I had a wonderful event that held by International Relations all batches. It is gathering party and the theme is Hollywood. This gathering party is held in order to give a warm welcoming to the new batch, my batch, batch 2010 of International Relations students. Although we just have 2 classes. The party is so fabulous and not to mention that we paid so much money on it.. but well, it's worth it! That was the first time attend the most fabulous party in my life hehe. And aaah! I like someone there, he was so charming when he performed at the stage haha xp

FOURTH, the night after the gathering party, I was invited to attend "Gebyar BCA" at Indosiar Studio 5. Of course this is my first time too attending an event like that and be inside the television and aired all over the world, I mean Indonesia. hihihi. I saw so many famous actor and actresses that night.

FIFTH, it happened not along time ago, actually, a couple of days ago, there were a celebration ocassion, birthday party. The three of my friends have the same birthdate, and they planned to celebrate it together. They are Cornel, Nike, and Ekky. We had so much fun. We had dinner at nike's house and did karaoke till after midnite. That was so much fun guys! thank you for your entertaining :))

Maybe this post ends here, because I need to study for midterm next monday and do ASSignments again. See you soon xoxo

"You gotta grow up my friend .. it's different now"

hello pupils! well its 1 a.m now in my Mac and i'm with Shabrina and a cup of hot milk with bread. i don't know why we can't fall asleep even we had a wonderful day yesterday. It was Friday of course, and we had classes to attend, there ere English class in the morning (8 a.m till 10 a.m) with Mr. Nyoman. He's from Bali, i think he's really fun to be with. He always says "you must speak/write in formal language in this room, so think before you talk/write". He tought me ALL the tenses, you know there are sixteen tenses (SIXTEEN!) and i just needed 15 minutes to understand and memorize it very well! it's wonderful! i was amazed of his teaching. big two thumbs up for him..

and then we had a meeting session, this session is called "You Gotta Grow Up, My Friend … It's Different Now! it's about college life, SKS we'll have, how to graduate on time, internship and many other things. It's very useful for us, freshmen, and new about all these things.

and last we had math for business, well actually it's a simple math that Pa Yuni has tought me, but, it's explained in English! well i know the consequences going to PU, international curriculum, English speaking and writing all the time and bla bla bla! wow! it's still difficult for me, yes, although i have studied English for some years .. i have to try hard for these, good luck for me! :)

aaaaaaaah after we had done all the classes, Shabrina said to me that she wants to watch movies tomorrow in Lippo Cikarang, but suddenly it turned out to be this day even though it's already 4 o'clock! hahaha it's just came up to my mind that we went to Lippo Cikarang right after we finished the class. So we asked the security how we get there because we're new here and we've never been out from Gate 5 since i went to Carrefour with a local friend who used to be here from a long time.. we went there by public transportation, angkot, aaaand it's unexpectedly very very far away from here. oh gosh! it took an hour from campus to Lippo. and we paid four thousand rupiah for that! what a waste ...
so we arrived there, not very big mall, but it has 21 cinema, thanks for that. but we already missed the movies so we decided to watch movies another time. so we shopped for our needs. and we went back dorm (not home) aaah before we were back, we had dinner there, buka puasa. we got back dorm at 8 p.m., and again i missed taraweh hehehe xp

major : International Relations

International Relations

1.             ASEAN CHARTER: ITS REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE
The course will begin with an exposure on the rise of ASEAN in 1967, its multiple areas of cooperation, as well as its design to become a solid institution capable of catering the multiple interests of its members. Then the course will critically examine the latest document called Asean Charter, and its regional designs called the Asean Political and Security Community, the Asean Economic Community, and the Asean Sociocultural Community. As the Asean Charter has successfully brought Asean into a state of maturity, the course will also examine the document’s significant to the world, and the way the world appreciated such document.
